Basketball Recap: Oakwood Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Oakwood's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 62-47 win over the Madison Mohawks. Given the Lumberjacks' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 236th, while the Mohawks are ranked 512th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Oakwood's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Madison, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakwood will welcome Franklin at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Madison, they will host Carlisle at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday.
