Volleyball Recap: St. Augustine Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

St. Augustine had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Cathedral Catholic Dons. This was a revenge game for the Saints: when they faced off against the Dons back in April, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

St. Augustine had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-16, 25-18, 25-18.

Noah Pabarcus paced St. Augustine's offense, picking up 12 kills. Pabarcus got some help from Oliver Fendley and his 28 assists. Finally, Pabarcus was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

St. Augustine pushed their record up to 18-11 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Cathedral Catholic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-7 record this season.

As of now, neither St. Augustine nor Cathedral Catholic have any future games scheduled.
