Softball Recap: Ticonderoga Beats Ausable Valley for Their Seventh Straight Victory

Ticonderoga put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the AuSable Valley Patriots by a score of 10-5. The ten-run effort marked the Sentinels' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Myleigh Drinkwine spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Addy Moore, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Jazlyn Disbrow was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

Ticonderoga pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for AuSable Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Ticonderoga will venture away from home to take on Beekmantown at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Sentinels' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 10.4 runs per game this season. As for AuSable Valley, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-2 win against Northern Adirondack on the 29th.
