Recap: Omaha Westside Warriors vs. Kearney Bearcats
The Omaha Westside Warriors put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They snuck past Kearney with a 58-53 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Omaha Westside also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2020.
Omaha Westside's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kevin Stubblefield, who scored 15 points. The contest was Stubblefield's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of CJ Mitchell, who scored 14 points.
Omaha Westside's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Kearney, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Omaha Westside will take on Omaha Northwest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kearney, they will head out on the road to face off against Columbus at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Columbus focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday.
