Basketball Game Preview: Union Redhawks vs. Edmond North Huskies

The Union Redhawks will challenge the Edmond North Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Union has given up an average of 55.2 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Union is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Oklahoma's top teams: Owasso, who was ranked third at the time (Union was ranked 13th). Union was beaten by Owasso 75-48 two weeks ago. The Redhawks' loss signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Edmond North walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Spartans 75-31. Winning may never get old, but the Huskies sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Union's defeat dropped their record down to 20-6. As for Edmond North, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 20-6.

Union lost to Edmond North on the road by a decisive 56-37 margin in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Can Union avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
