Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, King's Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a hard 22-7 fall against Somerset Academy - Canyons. The matchup marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Benjamin's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for King's Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Everything came up roses for Benjamin against King's Academy in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, as the squad secured a 48-14 win. In that contest, the Buccaneers amassed a halftime lead of 35-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
