Softball Recap: Wednesday's Win Is Rehoboth Christian's Eighth in Last Ten Outings

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Rehoboth Christian had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the Eunice Cardinals. This was a revenge game for the Lynx: when they faced off against the Cardinals back in April, they had to take a 15-11 defeat.

Deiyanera Franklin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on 11 hits.

At the plate, Dominique Delariva and Shanoah Eddie did most of the damage at the plate: Delariva went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and two RBI, while Eddie went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most runs Delariva has posted over her last 11 matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Sage West, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run.

Rehoboth Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .611. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eunice only posted an OBP of .323.

Rehoboth Christian is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.1 runs over those games. As for Eunice, their loss dropped their record down to 14-13.

Rehoboth Christian and Eunice are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Lynx will take on Estancia on Wednesday. The Bears will roll in looking for their 23rd straight win, something Rehoboth Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Eunice, they will face off against Raton on Wednesday.
