Basketball Game Preview: North East Indians vs. Tri-State Christian Crusaders

The North East Indians and the Tri-State Christian Crusaders will round out the year against one another at at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Thursday, North East came up short against Fallston and fell 46-37. The matchup marked the Indians' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tri-State Christian). They really took it to Harford Christian for the full four quarters, racking up a 67-36 victory. The Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 20 points or more this season.

North East better keep an eye on Grayson Coward. He was instrumental in Tri-State Christian's win, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave Coward a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of John Gabrielli, who posted nine points and eight assists.

Tri-State Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Tri-State Christian's win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for North East, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

North East was dealt a bruising 69-41 defeat at the hands of Tri-State Christian in their previous matchup back in February. Can North East avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
