Football Recap: Leonardo Perez and Dominic Barajas Secure Win for Firebaugh + How To Watch

Firebaugh's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the Del Oro Suns by a score of 21-14. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

A big part of Firebaugh's victory came down to the chemistry between Leonardo Perez and his top target Dominic Barajas. Perez rushed for 87 yards and one TD on only 11 carries while Barajas picked up 103 receiving yards and one score. The dominant performance also gave Perez a new career-high in passing yards (111). Ryan Luna helped out on the ground, rushing for 104 yards.

Firebaugh was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 227 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Del Oro only rushed for 35 rushing yards.

Firebaugh now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Del Oro, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Firebaugh and Del Oro will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Eagles see the field they'll take on Coalinga at 7:30 p.m. on October 3. As for Del Oro, their break will end when they face Golden Valley at 7:00 p.m. on October 2.
