Football Recap: Cave City Cavemen vs. Trumann Wildcats
Cave City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Trumann Wildcats, falling 52-30. The Cavemen were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2021.
Tony Postell Jr continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Trumann, rushing for 220 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. Trumann also got a significant boost from Kayden Dunavin, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 107 yards.
Cave City's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Trumann, they moved to 3-7 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.
As of now, neither Cave City nor Trumann have any future games scheduled.
