Softball Recap: Jefferson County Comes Up Short

Jefferson County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 17-1 to the Wakulla Christian School Saints. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Saints this season, with their most recent loss being a 19-4 defeat last Tuesday.

Jefferson County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Liria Vargas, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Vargas hit this season.

Jefferson County's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Wakulla Christian School, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson County will take on Rickards at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wakulla Christian School, they will host FAMU DRS at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
