            Basketball Recap: Southern Alamance Patriots vs. Orange Panthers        
        
		
        
        
            Southern Alamance was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight  loss. They had to suffer through  a    56-17 loss at the hands of the Orange Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  56-13  back in January.
 When it comes to explaining why Southern Alamance lost, don't look at  Sarah Kathryn Maness. Despite the final result, she  posted nine points. That was a full 52.9% of Southern Alamance's points, marking the eighth time in a row she's   put up  more than a third of the team's points.
  Evelyn George continued  her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Orange,  dropping  a double-double with 16  points and 13  boards. George is also on a roll when it comes to  steals, as she's  now  grabbed two or more in the last 12 games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Shannon Murphy, who  went 5 for 11  en route to 13 points and three  steals.
Southern Alamance's defeat dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Orange, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won ten of their last 12 contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record  this season.
 Coincidentally,  the two teams will both be playing Eastern Alamance the next time they take the court. Southern Alamance will head out to face Eastern Alamance at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday, while Orange will  host them  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday.
