Deer Park and North Shore squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Deer Park had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 56-13 loss at the hands of the North Shore Mustangs. Kaleb Maryland went supernova for North Shore, throwing for 259 yards and two touchdowns while completing 82.4% of his passes, and also rushing for 49 yards. Those 49 rushing yards gave Maryland a new career-high. D?Andre Hardeman Jr. was another key player, rushing for 63 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries.

Deer Park's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for North Shore, the victory for them keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
