Clarksville Christian dropped their record down to 10-2 on Monday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins on the road. They fell just short of the Zion Christian Academy Eagles by a score of 6-5. If the Centurions were looking for revenge after losing 11-0 to the Eagles when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Anna Cheasty was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one RBI.
In other batting news, Reese Cocke made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to triples, as she's now hit at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
As for Zion Christian Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games.
Like Clarksville Christian, Zion Christian Academy also got a great game from a two-way player: Addison White. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. White was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Marleigh McWilliams was incredible, going 1-for-3 with four stolen bases and two runs. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Leighla Rains was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Zion Christian Academy has already played their next matchup (against Columbia Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Clarksville Christian will be paying especially close attention to the Eagles' contest: after the Eagles face off against the Bulldogs, they'll take on Clarksville Christian again at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
