Baseball Game Preview: Mission College Prep Royals vs. Righetti Warriors

Mission College Prep hasn't had much luck against Righetti recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. Mission College Prep will host Righetti at 4:30 p.m. Mission College Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

Last Friday, Mission College Prep beat Cabrillo 8-4.

Brady Orfila looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He is becoming a predictor of Mission College Prep's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 5-1 (and 2-3 when he doesn't).

On the hitting side, Sean Rivas was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaron Miles, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Righetti was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of St. Joseph.

Righetti's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Mission College Prep, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.
