Volleyball Game Preview: Bayfield Wolverines vs. Piedra Vista Panthers

The Bayfield Wolverines will take on the Piedra Vista Panthers at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Bayfield hadn't beaten Farmington on the road since September 19, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Wolverines blew past the Scorpions 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-19, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Piedra Vista got the win against Gallup on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Bengals recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Piedra Vista was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-19, 25-14.

Piedra Vista now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Bayfield, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.

Everything went Bayfield's way against Piedra Vista in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Bayfield made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
