Spruce Creek entered their tilt with Lake Brantley on Tuesday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Patriots. The Hawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Patriots, too.

Aubrey Yeary spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Spruce Creek's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Reese Cianciarulo, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Spruce Creek's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lake Brantley, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-2.

Coming up, Spruce Creek will host Providence School at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lake Brantley, they will face off against Calvary Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their 17th straight win, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight.
