Softball Recap: East Hampton Bellringers vs. Old Saybrook Rams
East Hampton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Old Saybrook Rams. East Hampton was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Old Saybrook apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.
Neha Sidana and Madison Reola did some serious damage despite the final result: Sidana scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Reola scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Another player making a difference was Emma Meleo, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
East Hampton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Old Saybrook, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
East Hampton will head out on the road to face off against Valley Regional at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Old Saybrook, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Coginchaug Regional at 4:00 p.m. on May 8th.
