Softball Recap: Johansen Comes Up Short

Johansen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Beyer Patriots, falling 18-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 13-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Johansen saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jocelyn Ibanez Soto, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Johansen's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Beyer, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-5.

Coming up, Johansen will face off against Ceres at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Beyer, they will challenge Livingston at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
