Saturday just wasn't the day for PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central's offense. They lost 10-0 to Galesburg on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bluejays have suffered since March 24, 2024.

Meanwhile, Jacksonville was not the first on the board last Friday, but they got there more often. Everything went their way against Fieldcrest as Jacksonville made off with a 9-2 victory.

Ethan Kruzan was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Jacob Henry, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Jacksonville, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-3.
