The Malad Dragons will face off against the Wendell Trojans at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Malad is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3 runs per game this season.

Wendell will be up against a hot Malad squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Dragons came out on top against Marsh Valley by a score of 10-7 on Tuesday. Malad's victory was all the more impressive since the Eagles were averaging only 3.7 runs allowed on the season.

Declo hit Wendell with a four-run fifth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Trojans came up short against the Hornets, falling 12-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Trojans have suffered since May 2, 2025.

Krew Prince was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Teagan Vanderham, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Malad's win bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Wendell, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-8 record this season.

Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Malad hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .344. However, it's not like Wendell struggles in that department as they've averaged .407. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Everything went Malad's way against Wendell in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, as Malad made off with a 10-1 victory. Will the Dragons repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
