Basketball Recap: Chesterfield Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Chesterfield and High Point Academy squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Chesterfield had to settle for second. They lost 68-45 to the High Point Academy Grizzlies. While losing is never fun, the Golden Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Grizzlies are ranked 32nd).

High Point Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from J'Sean Sanders, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 13 points and five rebounds. Sanders is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last ten games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaden McNeil, who posted 11 points and three blocks.

Chesterfield's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-15. As for High Point Academy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 24-3.

As of now, neither Chesterfield nor High Point Academy have any future games scheduled.
