Baseball Recap: Lecanto's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hernando, Lecanto was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They skirted past the Crystal River Pirates 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since February 13th.

The team relied heavily on Garrett Pitzer, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Brayden Aungst also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Lecanto's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-8. As for Crystal River, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Lecanto will look to defend their home field on Thursday against The Villages Charter at 7:00 p.m. As for Crystal River, they will head out to challenge Lecanto at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
