Softball Recap: Crete Cardinals vs. Norris Titans

After losing to Norris the last time they met, Crete decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cardinals came out on top against the Titans by a score of 7-3 on Tuesday.

Madynn Dunham spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on ten hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Kacey Dunaway was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Dunaway is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Azalyne Beck was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Crete was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Norris only posted a batting average of .290.
