Football Recap: Poly Prep Country Day Falls to Frank J. Macchiarola in First Game of Season

Poly Prep Country Day unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 34-0 loss at the hands of the Frank J. Macchiarola Sharks on Friday.

Nicholas Raptis threw for 79 yards on 11 of 28 attempts. Nate Rosenblatt was his top target, picking up 33 receiving yards. On the ground, Holden Morse rushed for 31 yards.

Poly Prep Country Day has already played their next game, a 14-7 victory against Morristown-Beard on the 6th. As for Frank J. Macchiarola, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 34-22 win against Xaverian on the 5th.
