Lillie Young was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sydney Viallon, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 12 contests. Hayden Theriot was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, French Settlement made easy work of Northlake Christian on Thursday and carried off a 9-3 win.
