Softball Recap: Hidalgo Comes Up Short

Hidalgo fell victim to La Feria and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 21-0 to the Lions. The defeat leaves the Pirates still looking for their first win of the season.

Hidalgo's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for La Feria, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hidalgo will face off against Port Isabel at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for La Feria, they will take on Grulla at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Gators have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.83 runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of.
