Baseball Recap: The Academy Takes a Loss

The Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 4-1 to the Prospect Ridge Academy Miners. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Miners this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-0 on Tuesday.

The Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexander Nicholson, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

The Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Prospect Ridge Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6.

Looking ahead, The Academy will challenge Fort Morgan at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Prospect Ridge Academy, they are taking a road trip to square off against Denver Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
