Yucaipa entered their tilt with Beaumont on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 10-7. For the Thunderbirds, this counts as revenge for the 6-4 victory the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Jason Franco was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Jackson, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Yucaipa was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Yucaipa pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.1 runs over those games. As for Beaumont, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Yucaipa is set to face off against their familiar foe Redlands East Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Yucaipa 3.8, Redlands East Valley 2.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Beaumont will take on rival Citrus Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
