 The Ford Panthers will head out on the road to  square off against  the Wills Point Tigers at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Given that  the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this  match.
 On Friday, it was a hard-fought  matchup, but Ford had to settle for  a  5-4 defeat against Mabank. Ford has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Payton Perez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned runs on six hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than seven  strikeouts in five consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  Lillian Barraza and  Lillee Walls stepped up to the plate in a big way.  Barraza  scored a  run while going 2-for-3, while  Walls  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, a  triple,  and a  double. The team also got some help courtesy of  Preslielyn Barraza, who  went 2-for-4 with a  triple and a  double.
 Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought  contest, but Wills Point had to settle for  an  8-7 loss against Kaufman on Friday. The  defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wills Point in their matchups with Kaufman: they've now lost six in a row.
  Loryn Witherspoon put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  struck out eight batters over  seven innings while giving up  three earned  (and five unearned) runs off   nine  hits. Witherspoon was even better at the plate,  firing off two  home runs, three  runs,  and four  RBI while going 4-for-4.
 Witherspoon wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Emily Everett, who  went 1-for-3 with a  stolen base and  an  RBI.
 Ford's record is now 17-7. As for Wills Point, their record now sits at 9-17-1.
Wills Point's pitching crew has a tough task ahead of them:  Ford hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .330. It's a different story for Wills Point, though, as  they've  only  averaged .244. Will they be able to contain Ford's hitters?
