Basketball Recap: Heritage Comes Up Short

After soaring to 62 points the game before, Heritage was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They had to suffer through a 63-24 loss at the hands of the Wilson Memorial Green Hornets. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 264th, while the Green Hornets are ranked 103rd).

Heritage has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season. Wilson Memorial pushed their record up to 19-5 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.

While Heritage had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
