Recap: BVCHEA HomeSchool Mustangs vs. Gloria Deo Academy Lions
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the BVCHEA HomeSchool Mustangs, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell to Gloria Deo Academy 35-30. It was the first time this season that BVCHEA HomeSchool let down their fans at home.
Despite the loss, BVCHEA HomeSchool saw an underclassman step up: Charlie Pote threw for 92 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Still Morgan was in the mix as well, providing BVCHEA HomeSchool with two touchdowns.
Nolan Chandler was his usual excellent self, rushing for 116 yards and a touchdown. Chandler is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last five games he's played.
BVCHEA HomeSchool's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Gloria Deo Academy, their win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1.
BVCHEA HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Gloria Deo Academy will take on Fort Worth THESA at TBD on Friday. Fort Worth THESA knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully Gloria Deo Academy likes a good challenge.
