Baseball Game Preview: Shakopee Sabers vs. Rosemount Irish

The Shakopee Sabers will square off against the Rosemount Irish at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Shakopee 3.5, Rosemount 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Shakopee is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Farmington just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 7-4 to the Tigers.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rosemount). Everything went their way against Apple Valley on Wednesday as they made off with a 12-2 victory. The Irish haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Shakopee's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Rosemount, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.

Shakopee was able to grind out a solid win over Rosemount in their previous meeting on April 8th, winning 10-7. Do the Sabers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Irish turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
