Baseball Recap: Bartlett Takes Down Wheaton-Warrenville South in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Bartlett had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Wheaton-Warrenville South Tigers 9-8. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-4 back in March.

The team relied heavily on Alex Bihun, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI. He has become a key player for Bartlett: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 14-16-1 otherwise. Gio Scivittaro was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Bartlett has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-16-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Wheaton-Warrenville South, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-19.

As of now, neither Bartlett nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
