Baseball Recap: Keystone's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

There's no place like home for Keystone, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They skirted past the Clarion-Limestone Lions 4-3. The victory was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their 11-game losing streak.

Drew Keth spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Keystone saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kord Stewart, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Those two hits gave Stewart a new career-high.

Keystone's win bumped their record up to 2-12. As for Clarion-Limestone, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-10.

As for Clarion-Limestone, they will be playing at home against Moniteau at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
