The Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons will challenge the South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy's offense hasn't had much luck over their past three games, but Friday's matchup will give them a chance to turn things around.

Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against North Rowan on Friday. They took a blow against the Cavaliers, falling 58-0. The shutout was out of character for the Gryphons seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.

Meanwhile, South Stanly hadn't done well against North Stanly recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Rowdy Rebel Bulls simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Comets 40-0. Considering the Rowdy Rebel Bulls have won three contests by more than 26 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

South Stanly's win came from a few key players Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kaleb Richardson, who threw for 194 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 16 passes. South Stanly's leading receiver Jasiah Holt was Richardson's top target yet again, picking up 105 receiving yards and one score.

South Stanly is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 30.8 points over those games. As for Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
