Pinellas Park suffers 19th straight loss on the road

Recap: Pinellas Park Patriots vs. Osceola Warriors

The Pinellas Park Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 11th straight loss. They were dealt a 77-44 defeat at the hands of Osceola. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Pinellas Park in their matchups with Osceola: they've now lost five in a row.

It was another big night for Talon Brooks, who went 7 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 27 points and 7 assists for Osceola. That makes it three consecutive games in which Brooks has scored at least a third of Osceola's points. Another player making a difference was Tyler Kaspar, who scored nine points along with seven steals.

Pinellas Park dropped their record down to 1-18 with that defeat, which was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Osceola, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-11.

Pinellas Park on the road again on Monday and play against Clearwater Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on January 29th. As for Osceola, Osceola and Lakeside Christian will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Lakeside Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 16 games.
