Basketball Recap: James River Comes Up Short

James River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Carroll County Cavaliers, falling 61-40. The Knights were not able to make up for their loss to the Cavaliers from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

James River's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Carroll County, their victory bumped their record up to 17-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. James River has already played their next matchup (against Radford), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Carroll County will take on Floyd County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Carroll County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight games.
