Volleyball Game Preview: Ephrata Mountaineers vs. Daniel Boone Blazers

The Ephrata Mountaineers will square off against the Daniel Boone Blazers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ephrata is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Ephrata came up short against Governor Mifflin and fell 3-1.

While Ephrata ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-18, 22-25, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Daniel Boone had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against J.P. McCaskey by a score of 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Blazers in their matchups with the Red Tornado: they've now won three in a row.

Ephrata's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Daniel Boone, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

Ephrata came out on top in a nail-biter against Daniel Boone in their previous meeting back in April of 2022, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ephrata since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
