Basketball Recap: Cascade Comes Up Short

After flying high against Fayetteville on Friday, Cascade came back down to earth. The Champions received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 60-41 to the Richland Raiders. The matchup marked the Champions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Cascade's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Richland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cascade will welcome Cannon County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Champions will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Richland, they will host Wayne County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.33 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
