Basketball Recap: Amilee Pulido's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Uvalde over Pleasanton

Uvalde lost against Pleasanton back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Uvalde Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) fell 49-36 to the Pleasanton Eagles.

Uvalde's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amilee Pulido, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Justine Luevanos, who had ten points.

Uvalde's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Pleasanton, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-13 record this season.

Uvalde will face off against Devine at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Devine will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Uvalde surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pleasanton, they will challenge Carrizo Springs at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
