Baseball Game Preview: Sanger Apaches vs. Lemoore Tigers

The Sanger Apaches will challenge the Lemoore Tigers at 3:10 p.m. on Monday. Sanger's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Lemoore's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Sanger managed to slip by McLane the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Apaches lost 8-1 to the Highlanders on Saturday. The Apaches' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Lemoore took on Taft on Saturday. The Tigers never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory.

The team relied heavily on Landen Young, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.

Lemoore hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive games.

Sanger's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Lemoore, their record now sits at 10-7.

Sanger couldn't quite get it done against Lemoore in their previous meeting back in March as they fell 6-3. Can the Apaches avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
