On Tuesday, Nixa faced Kickapoo in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Nixa Eagles walked away with a 51-43 win over the Kickapoo Chiefs. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.

Nixa pushed their record up to 14-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.7 points over those games. As for Kickapoo, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 18-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nixa will challenge Lebanon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Lebanon's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. As for Kickapoo, they will take on Waynesville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kickapoo is facing Waynesville at the right time seeing as Waynesville is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
