Basketball Recap: River Ridge Sets Scoring Season-High Against Benton

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask River Ridge). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Benton Zephyrs 69-20. Given the Timberwolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 191st, while the Zephyrs are ranked 444th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win (which was River Ridge's third in a row) raised their record to 13-7. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 41 points. As for Benton, their defeat was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-22.

River Ridge has already played their next game (against Black Hawk), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Benton, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 64-55 victory against Juda on the 14th.
