Volleyball Game Preview: Archbishop Williams Bishops vs. Oliver Ames Tigers + Official Tickets

The Archbishop Williams Bishops will head out to take on the Oliver Ames Tigers at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Archbishop Williams comes in on five and Oliver Ames on 21.

Archbishop Williams is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Silver Lake Regional.

Archbishop Williams found their leader in sophomore Mia Cartullo, who had 12 digs and two aces. Cartullo has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Archbishop Williams was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 15 consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Oliver Ames faced Needham in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Tigers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rockets, sneaking past 3-2.

Oliver Ames' victory bumped their record up to 21-0. As for Archbishop Williams, their win bumped their record up to 13-7.

Archbishop Williams skirted past Oliver Ames 3-2 when the teams last played back in September of 2015. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bishops since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
