Basketball Recap: Madison Starts off Right with Win over South

Madison had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 56-35 margin over the South Rebels. The Blue Streaks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rebels, too.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Madison to victory, but perhaps none more so than Parker Williams, who shot 44% from the field on his way to 16 points and six blocks. Those six blocks gave Williams a new career-high. Luke Gibbons was another key player, going 6-for-9 to rack up 15 points and six rebounds.

Looking ahead, Madison will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Beachwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on West Geauga at 7:00 p.m. on December 5.
