Basketball Recap: Eldon Takes a Loss

Eldon suffered their closest loss since January 27, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of the North Callaway Thunderbirds by a score of 54-51. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Thunderbirds apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Leading North Callaway to victory were Austin Brown and Jamarion Glover. Brown went 7 for 10 on his way to 17 points, while Glover dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Clayton Moore, who posted nine points and seven boards.

Eldon is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5. As for North Callaway, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Eldon has already played their next matchup, a 66-64 victory against New Bloomfield on the 17th. As for North Callaway, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 58-32 loss against Hermann on the 16th.
