Volleyball Recap: Bishop Kenny Comes Up Short

Bishop Kenny was the 3-0 winner over Trinity Christian Academy when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Crusaders took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Conquerors on Saturday. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their offense was headlined by Chelsea Akakatang and Maria Patelli, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Mia Ancayan and her seven assists. Alexis Sowers controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Bishop Kenny's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Bishop Kenny has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Riviera Prep on the 30th. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Mount Paran Christian on the 30th.
