Softball Game Preview: Carlisle Bison vs. Hershey Trojans

The Carlisle Bison will head out on the road to challenge the Hershey Trojans at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Carlisle is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

Carlisle lost 10-4 to Lower Dauphin on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Hershey might've scored the first runs on Tuesday, but it was Red Land who claimed the real prize. The Trojans came up short against the Patriots, falling 13-5.

McKinley Ebert was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Payton Smith, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Hershey's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Carlisle, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Everything went Carlisle's way against Hershey in their previous meeting back in May of 2023, as Carlisle made off with an 11-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bison since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
