North Rockland is 8-0 against Mount Vernon since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The North Rockland Raiders will take on the Mount Vernon Knights in a tournament on Friday.

Last Wednesday, North Rockland lost to Arlington on the road by a 56-40 margin. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Mount Vernon took care of business in their home opener on Wednesday (barely). It was close, but they ultimately received the gift of a 43-40 win from a begrudging Knights squad. The victory was some much needed relief for they as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak dating back to last season.

North Rockland's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Mount Vernon, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-0.

Everything came up roses for North Rockland against Mount Vernon in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as the squad secured a 60-30 victory. Will North Rockland repeat their success, or does Mount Vernon have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
